Boast, glory, joy, rejoice

“Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us.” Romans 5:3-4

These photos are our rejoicing:

The Kelley Family joining our team has been a big blessing to us and to Lulwanda.  We are so thankful for them, the joy they bring, the support and encouragement they keep giving us. Meet Ryan, Megan, Audrey, Simon, Lucy and Norah.

This is Megan praying for me before we moved here.  Only God knew that one day 3 years later, she would be joining me on this journey!

Jackson and Lilly have grown so much since our family’s first mission trip.  We went to Guatemala with our church.

Lilly is celebrating being the first in our family to have malaria! On the day she was the sickest we received an unexpected package from America. Thank you Laci for reminding us that we are loved and not forgotten.

I am reposting this because these 3 people have been an extra blessing to me these past few weeks.  Mama Joy (on right) was unexpectedly prompted to hold me one day and pray over me. Mama Juliet (on left) gave a verse to me at Bible study last week: Hebrews 6:10. And John, well, he is always a blessing to me.

Studying God’s creation with these guys has been a serious joy to my heart.

These are our oldest Lulwanda children that we have the pleasure of discipling. We meet for Bible study and dinner every Friday night at our house.

Boasting in the Lord for reuniting this family as we welcomed Kettu and Dan to our Lulwanda family!

Boasting in the Lord for growing our Lulwanda family by 4 new members.  This is two of them. We reunited Dan (far left) and Kettu (2nd from left) with their brothers Kevin and Milton (who joined us in 2015).

We also welcomed this cutie, Mark!

  1. Wonderful to see all the pics. Everyone looks so happy and blessed. Praises that God has been good to you and your families in Uganda. Thanks for sending Diane Hatcher’s bible study group photo of Dan. We love sponsoring him and reuniting him with his brothers. He looks so happy.
May you all continue to be blessed with your mission in Uganda. I love reading your news letters and seeing the photos. MaryLou

  2. Palmers, I am still amazed by your obedience and commitment to the Father. To the human limits of my well wishes – I offer you encouragement and joy in that task. The difference you are making in world peace and brotherhood has the more important bonus of eternal life. Thank you, Larry Adams

  3. It is always a blessing to read your words and see your photos. We will be hosting a dinner later this week for the other families in our church who sponsor Lulwanda children. We plan to share the latest letters and photos all of us have received. It will be fun to include your latest post in our sharing. One of the families sponsors Milton, so it will be exciting for them to see that two more of his siblings have been rescued. Thank you for the prayer calendar; I pray for you every day.
    Love,
    Sue

  4. We are always excited to see your posts. Praise God for the work He has blessed you with and the fruit it yields for His kingdom. We love you all.

  5. the smiles of the children and updates from you are so refreshing.. I am sure it is a blessing to have the Kelly’s there. Every time I pray for you or read an update, I am reminded to John’s comment to me when we camped that weekend… He said he told his business partner “When the creator of the world tells you to go, you go.” So simple and yet so rare. Thank you for your obedience and for sharing the beautiful children with us! Amazing how big Jackson and Lily are getting!! Blessings and peace to you all
